The Shape of Water también lidera los nominados al BAFTA 2018

Estos BAFTA son unos premios que tampoco comprenderemos del todo, pues ni ellos respetan la temporalidad del año cinematográfico, a veces considerando películas de años pasados como aquí es el caso de Elle, The Salesman y otro par que datan del 2016.

Por otra parte hay que resaltar que Darkest Hour aquí cobra más fuerza dada su naturaleza británica, posicionándose en segundo lugar de nominaciones empatada con Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri y solo detrás de la también favorita The Shape of Water de Guillermo del Toro.
